This volume contains information abstracted from the order books giving the story of what was happening at home during the Civil War. Eighty deceased soldiers were documented; slaves, slave owners, free people of "colour" and Gentlemen Justices are all mentioned. Wills, guardianships, settlements of estates, applications for wine sellers, ministers and lawyers to practice in the county, and provisions for those who were sick with smallpox are all documented.
